consider and sang feeding off a sang a parasitic relationship where 1 benefits and the other is hurt whereas a sang feeding off a human is a commensalism meaning 1 benefits and 1 isnt effected, this is the ideal relationship since mutual can not exist really for our kind due to energy deficiencies
i would also like to add that my estimate of all people claiming to be afflicted with this condition only 30% or so actually are furthermore what i really fail to understand is...
once you know the truth about us why would you want to be one? its a real pain in the ass i mean think about it, you cant really go outside without a boatload of sunscreen and even then it only works for so long, you have a constant craving for blood(doesnt bother me since i love it but some sangs dislike the taste) if you do not feed all of the symptoms that follow are a real day ruiner so to speak i mean extreme irritability, fatigue, lethargy out the wazoo, stomach and body aches and pains, not to mention the nightmares(at least mine i dont know how other peoples may or may not be) just to name a few
once the line is drawn between fact and fiction any sane person would clearly choose to stay as they were
if i had the opportunity to do something to get rid of it would i?
for me the answer is no because that would mean i would have to relearn how to exist, i am comfortable with how i am now, it took me awhile to get used to it but i couldnt see it any other way at this point

Alex dear, I thought I could also give you some answers as well. Unlike Ophelia, I am a hybrid, meaning I am a sang and a psi vampire. I can feed off pranic energy by absorbing it psychically, and I can also consume blood to feed. For me, I didn't know about my awakening until after it was over. I knew for years that there was something different about me, but I couldn't let myself believe what I really was. Once I exhausted all the other explainations for my unusual medical situation I explored other options. That's when I met Ophelia and learned more about who, or what I guess I am. Although I am currently leaning more to the sang side of the spectrum, I consider myself more of a psi because I do not have a donor so I must only feed psychically. Therefore, being more of a psi, I disagree with Ophelia in that vampires know when and what they are going through during their awakening. I have found, including in my own experience, that most psi vampires, and most hybrids, do not realize their awakening while it is happening, unless of course they are well educated and have studied such experiences before hand. But to comment on a few things you have said.. having a taste for blood does not make you a vampire. I myself get a little queezy at the taste, but find myself wanting more. I do agree with Ophelia in that this is a very hard life to live, but it is not a "lifestyle" as she mentioned. None of us chose to live this life, it was something we were born with, the same as those with any other birth-born disease. I hope I have helped somewhat and feel free to ask any more questions.

Oh, and the sang on sang feeding, I would never try it unless a strictly sang vampire had no donor and absolutely needed it, but only because being a hybrid, I can get energy a lot easier than most.

I have never really fed off dreams, but I haven't tried either.
