((this post is intended for people over the age of 18. if you are under this age please leave and go to the buying blood forum))
First of all if you are bloodletting by cutting ALWAYS let your donor do the honors, if you do it its technically a form of assault. And for god's sakes, DO NOT cut over an artery if you do not know where they are then get a freaking book on human anatomy and learn.
Secondly, take certain medical procautions. Be sure the intrument is clean and germ free, be sure that the area to be cut is disinfected. be sure your mouth is clean (we wouldnt want bacteria from your mouth getting in the donors wounds) and after you are done feeding, clean the wound and dress it properly
third, NEVER feed from people you dont know, who could have blood borne illnesses. especially with such a high risk of aids this is VERY dangerous. if possible be sure to have all your donors screened for blood illnesses.
fourth, do NOT feed from donors who are on medications as they can be in their bloodstream. be sure your donors are healthy, mental stable people. (I say this because there is a certain bonding that comes with donating and people of instable mindset do not seem to handle this well)
fifth, DO NOT in any instance take more blood than is needed. this is generally only a mouthful or even less
if you can use other mean (safer means) to bloodlet I highly recommend you do, as knifes or razors tend to scar your donor. other ways to bloodlet are...
A safe, scarless and almost painless way of bloodletting is lancets. Diabetics use lancets and they
work great for bloodletting. You can buy them at almost any pharmacy.
Anouther, safer way is to go to trade school and study phlebotomy or take some classes on it. then you can use a needle to tap the vein directly
